With Thatching so clearly in our blood, at Anglia Thatching Co., we pride ourselves on our expertise, and knowledge.
Over the last fifty years of my families work in thatching we have worked on listed properties, Churches, thatched barns/conversions, river properties, new builds and thatched homes.
Our knowledge is extensive on water reed and straw thatched buildings and we are happy to share that with others.
We find commonly with new builds, conversions or extensions working with an architect or builder right from the planning process helps the process for everyone. We can provide important information regarding pitch thickness material etc.
Discussions over the phone or email costs us nothing and can save time and money in the work architects and builders have to go through to supply the best possible home for their clients.
We are able to work off plan to obtain all the information we require and advise and quote for any work.
We also often become involved in the buying/selling process. Again we use our extensive knowledge to furnish buyers or sellers with the right information about the thatched roof and helping them understand what in the future will be required.

We work regularly on the Norfolk broads and often alongside Matt and his team. He’s our resident Bricky. He is always on hand when we need him to rebuild a chimney, repair brickwork or cement fillet work. We have been working alongside each other for over ten years and his work is of the highest standard
Miller & Rackham
Julian and Daniel are specialists in carpentry and joinery. They are cabinet makers who make windows, doors, staircases and all things bespoke to your needs. We often use them to supply bespoke window frames and do intricate woodwork repairs in listed properties.
Karl Bangay – Easily Lead
We have known Karl for over fifteen years. He is a master craftsman with Lead, Zinc, Copper and stainless steel roofing systems. He is a member of the Leadsheet Association providing a twenty-five year guarantee. His metalwork is second to none and a pleasure to watch him work. He also runs a team of people who can do flat roofing systems such as Edpm and GRP. Also any tiled roof requirements. He’s a great addition to our team and helps us provide you a complete service on all roofing aspects.
Coxon Property Care
We have been working alongside Chris for a number of years. He can provide a number of services for your property needs. We mainly use him and his team for expert decorating inside an out using the best materials and supplying a grade A service.
T Gill Building
Nick and his team at T Gill are an all inclusive building company. If you require a company to start your planned home or extension from start to finish then this is the company for you. They offer the whole package in house and will hold your hand every step of the way. Instead of having various layers they can design, plan and build in house.
